I love writing. It’s what I do for a living, after all.
I also love writing for this site. I hope I’m able to help other people as I get my own crap in line. It’s a sincere desire or mine, and I truly enjoy it.
However, I’m burning out.
I have my day job, which pays my bills, and I have this site which might make some money some day, but isn’t about to do it just now. Which writing has to be my priority is obvious.
Additionally, while I don’t have to write as much for this site (just one story compared to six elsewhere), I do have to come up with topics from the top of my head.
Some days, that’s easy. Other days, not so much.
As a result, writing here can be a little stressful, which is fine. I don’t mind stress.
But I do mind when the stress of trying to come up with stuff lures me into writing crap, into writing stuff you guys aren’t interested in reading, and that’s happening a fair bit lately.
So, I’m going to take a step back. I think I’ve been sacrificing quality for quantity, and that’s a bad way to go about things, so I’m going to reverse that.
Instead, I’ll be writing much less. There will be something posted on a regular basis, but not every day. I’m going to shoot for one great post per week, rather than a so-so one every day.
I hope you’ll all understand.
I sure understand. Right now, I’m happy to come up with one decent post a month. I’m enjoying doing things, but not writing about those things. This is a great site, by the way.
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoy it. Just reading that helps a great deal, to be honest. 🙂
